Mefenamic acid:
Relieves mild to moderate pain, decreases inflammation and fever through inhibition of cyclo-oxygenase activity and prostaglandin synthesis.
Well tolerated NSAID exhibits anti-inflammatory,analgesic and antipyretic effects relieves pain and symptoms of fever effectively.
Mefenamic acid is effective in relieving symptoms of dysmenorrhoea.
Mefenamic acid was clearly superior to placebo and equalled or exceeded the ability of aspirin to control post-surgical pain in the parameters measured.
