Rabeprazole:
An antiulcer drug in the clas of acid-or proton-pump inhibitor that inhibits basal and stimulated gastric acid secretion.
Works at a broader range of stomach pH and thus may work for longer than other PPIs.
Suppresses gastric acid screetion by inhibiting the gastric H+K+ATP ase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell.
Blocks the enzyme in the wall of the stomach that makes and secretes acid into the stomach.
Showed prompt and continuing improvements in daytimeand nighttime heartburn,belching,regurgitation, and dysphagia.
Levosulpiride:
An prokinetic and anti-emetic agent show action on the selective antagonist of central dopamine (D-2, D-3 and D-4) receptors.
Exerts prokinetic action through dual mechanism as a D2 receptor antagonist and as a 5HT4 receptor agonist.
As effective as cusapride in the treatment of dysmotility-like functional dyspepsia.
Levosulpiride should be considered among the drugs of choice for the treatment of various forms of dyspepsia and emesis.
Effective in the prevention of chemotherapy-induced & post-operative vomiting as well as treatment of nausea, vomiting & motion sickness.
